1. Policy Overview
At Rajathi Ethnic House, we cherish the rich heritage of authentic handloom weaving and fine ethnic craft. Every saree in our curation is handcrafted by master weavers with meticulous patience and devotion.
We take immense pride in inspecting each creation thoroughly before dispatch. However, in the rare circumstance that you receive a damaged product or notice a missing item from your order, our Returns and Exchanges Policy outlines the structured protocol to support you.
Standard Policy Summary:
You can request a return or exchange within 7 days of delivery. Any request initiated after the completion of 7 days from the recorded delivery timestamp will not be accepted under any circumstances.
2. Eligibility & Acceptance Criteria
Strict Acceptance Policy: Damaged Sarees & Missing Items Only
Strict ClauseTo preserve the purity and exclusivity of our artisanal handlooms, only damaged sarees and missing items are acceptable for return, replacement, or refund.
We do not accept returns or exchanges for:
- Change of mind or subjective styling preferences.
- Personal opinion regarding color vibrancy, drape feel, or texture.
- Ordering the incorrect product, variant, or color.
- Inherent handloom characteristics or minor weaving traits.
Mandatory Physical Condition Requirements
To be considered for return authorization, the parcel and garment must satisfy all of the following conditions:
Unused & Unwashed
The saree must be completely unworn, unwashed, unaltered, odorless, and completely undamaged by the customer.
Original Tags Intact
Original price tags, brand authenticity tags, silk marks, and security labels must remain attached in their original placement.
Original Packaging
Must be returned in the original brand box, butter paper, pouches, and protective folds.
Reported Within 48 Hours
Any damage or missing item must be officially reported to our team within 48 hours of delivery.
3. Mandatory Continuous Unboxing Video
Continuous, Unedited Unboxing Video Requirement
Mandatory ProofYou must provide a continuous, unedited unboxing video showing the package opening from start to finish.
Our courier partners and claims verification desk require clear, unadulterated visual proof to validate transit damage or missing parcel contents. Claims submitted without a compliant unboxing video cannot be approved.
How to Record an Acceptable Unboxing Video:
- 1Before Cutting the Seal: Show all 6 sides of the outer shipping box or courier bag clearly to demonstrate that original seals and tape are intact and untampered.
- 2Focus on the Shipping Label: Bring the camera close to the shipping label so that the AWB tracking number, your name, and Rajathi details are visibly legible.
- 3One Continuous Take: Open the package on camera without any pauses, cuts, transitions, or edits. Keep the parcel in frame at all times.
- 4Examine the Contents: Unroll the saree or open the jewellery box and immediately point the camera to the specific damaged section or demonstrate the missing piece.
4. Authentic Handloom & Color Variation Guidelines
Authentic Handloom Note
Artisan HeritageMinor thread pulls, small slubs, subtle knots in the zari, or slight weaving irregularities are characteristic of authentic handloom sarees and are NOT considered defects.
Unlike machine-made synthetic fabrics that produce uniform, synthetic repetition, authentic handlooms are created thread by thread on traditional looms by human hands. These subtle nuances are testaments to genuine artisanal craft.
Color Variation Notice (Up to 10%)
Lighting & DisplayActual product colours may vary slightly (up to 10%) due to photographic studio lighting, reflective properties of pure silk and metallic zari, and individual digital monitor/screen calibrations.
We calibrate our photography under controlled color temperatures to represent garments as accurately as possible. A slight perceived color variation within normal 10% tolerances is expected and does not constitute a defect.
5. Step-by-Step Return Process
